The pub is now closed on Mondays and Tuesdays until 17th February for repairs and holidays
We will not be able to take bedroom bookings on Mondays and Tuesdays during this short period. Although we are still open on Sundays for single night bedroom guest arrivals, please check out our reduced opening times. A continental breakfast menu will usually be offered on Monday mornings, unless agreed in advance. Due to essential building repairs, we apologise for any disruption and inconvenience caused during this period.
New, clean, comfy, stylish and tasteful
You really are in rooms above the inn, with just a moment’s amble downstairs to superb award-winning food and drink. Being above a pub, we have sound-proofed the floors to help ensure a cosy and restful stay.
Since March 2022 we now have three brand spanking new bedroom suites, all named after our beautiful local woods. All have a novel mini-kitchen with a fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and storage, allowing you to be self-contained and independent for breakfasts and other meals and family needs if you wish, although most guests indulge in our cooked breakfast downstairs between 9am & 10am.

SUPER KING ENSUITE
Our large double ensuite ‘Siccaridge’ room boasts a super-king sized bed, sitting area, bathroom with rain shower, a stocked to order mini kitchen with microwave, toaster, fridge, kettle and storage, as well as ultra fast broadband and TV with Netflix.
Sleeps 2, with the option of a camp bed (£20 extra) for one child.
£150 per night during high season. From £120 in low season (November to March), excluding peak nights.
FAMILY & FRIENDS’ SUITE
Not one but two bedrooms included in this , our ‘Dorvel & Hen’ suite. Comprising a large king sized double bedroom and a second bedroom which can be set up with either twin beds for 2 children or a super-king sized bed for adult friends. Large bathroom with ‘P’ shaped bath and rain shower.
Sleeps 2 adults and 2 children or, alternatively, 4 adults. Sleeps 4.
£250 per night during high season. From £200 in low season (November to March), excluding peak nights.
LUXURY ‘SAPPERTON’ SUITE
With its large super-king size bedroom, bathroom with stand alone bath and separate shower, comfy living area and high loft ceiling over, our largest and top notch room has just been finished, ready in time for cosy Easter breaks. Sleeps 2 adults, very, very comfortably.
As with our other two bedroom suites, this suite also contains a mini kitchen.
